CHURCH SERVICES AT UNION CHAPEL WILL BE HELD AT THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED TIME OF 10:30. a.m. ON SUNDAY FEBRUARY 6, 2011.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: THE PARKING LOT HAS BEEN CLEARED OF ICE AND SNOW, BUT THERE MAY BE HIDDEN BLACK ICE. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL AS YOU ENTER. THREE ENTRANCES HAVE BEEN CLEARED. THE EXTREME WEST ENTRANCE. THE FRONT ENTRANCE. THE EAST ENTRANCE AT THE RAMP AND STAIRS CLEARED TO THE ELEVATOR OF SNOW AND ICE.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: USE CAUTION AT ALL ENTRANCES.

From the Pastor: Fear and Peace of Mind

If you have ever received a chain letter by snail mail or email then you may know the totally irrational fear that if you delete it or throw it away, you may suffer some horrible consequences. It doesn’t make sense, of course. It’s just a letter, but admit it, there is that lurking fear that something bad will happen if you break the chain. I have some good news for anyone that fears breaking a chain letter.

Pipe Organ Update

Phase I of the construction of the sound rooms is moving along at a fast pace and on schedule! The two upstairs rooms were cleared and the two chamber rooms are nearly complete.

The next phase will involve creating the access areas into these sound chambers. The large airhandling components and pipes will need to be installed from these openings as the stairway and north window(s) are too narrow and small. Once

Junior Church Topic: Isaiah ... Fulfilling the Prophecy

Our Junior Church program teaches key Bible messages through a variety of interesting and entertaining activities including: Art, Computer Activities, Cooking, Games, Music, Science, Storytelling and Videos.

From November 7 until January 2, the children will focus on Isaiah 7:14; 9:2-6; and 11:1-9.

"A child is born to us! A son is given to us! And he will be our ruler, He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Might God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace."

Family Game Night Fri. October 29

Youth Fundraiser: Butter Braid Coffee Cakes

The UMYF is selling Butter Braid coffee cakes during October - with delivery in time for Thanksgiving.

These light and flaky pastries are available in a variety of flavors. They're delivered frozen, so you can thaw, rise and bake them for your holiday gatherings.

Food for Fletcher Place

During October, Union Chapel is a Flagship Church to help restock Fletcher Place Community Center Pantry.

Please bring non-perishable food items and place them in the wooden box at the West end of the Parlor hallway.
