Pipe Organ Update

Phase I of the construction of the sound rooms is moving along at a fast pace and on schedule! The two upstairs rooms were cleared and the two chamber rooms are nearly complete.

The next phase will involve creating the access areas into these sound chambers. The large airhandling components and pipes will need to be installed from these openings as the stairway and north window(s) are too narrow and small. Once
these components are received and installed, the openings will be framed and covered with the special sound “grill” material that was chosen a few weeks ago. The new facade pipes will then be installed in the current ‘flower boxes’ just in front of
these openings.

The new look to the sanctuary shouldn’t be that much different from what we are
used to. I’m still waiting on an update on the pipe construction as this will determine the timeline but I’m sure it will be on schedule. Stay tuned!
